Juicy steaks seared with savory mushrooms and peppers, ready in just 20 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
  • 1 medium bell pepper (any color), coarsely chopped (1 cup)
  • 1 1/2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms (about 5 oz)
  • 4 boneless beef strip steaks, about 3/4 inch thick (6 oz each)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki baste and glaze (from 12-oz bottle)
  • 2 tablespoons water
Instructions:
  • Heat butter in a 12-inch nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Saute bell peppers for 2 minutes, stirring frequently. Add mushrooms and continue cooking for 2 to 3 minutes until vegetables are tender. Remove vegetable mixture from skillet and cover to keep warm.
  • Season beef steaks with garlic salt and pepper. Then, cook them in the same skillet over medium heat for 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they reach your preferred doneness.
  • Add the vegetables back to the skillet. Mix in the teriyaki glaze and water, then spoon the mixture over the steaks. Heat everything for about 1 minute, stirring the vegetables occasionally, until fully heated.
