Elevate your pound cake game with a tall, fluffy masterpiece made from six eggs, simply finished with a sprinkle of sugar.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2.5 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups butter
  • 6 eggs
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Prepare a Bundt pan by greasing and flouring it, and do not preheat the oven.
  • Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, then mix in vanilla. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, beating until smooth. Pour batter into your prepared pan.
  • - Gently slide the cake into a cold oven and preheat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, usually 1 to 1 1/2 hours. - Let it cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. - Run a table knife along the edges to release the cake. - Carefully flip it onto a serving plate or cooling rack. - Allow it to cool completely for about 20 to 30 minutes.
