Delicious slow cooker ham and potato soup - perfect for leftover holiday ham!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups warm water
  • 2 tablespoons chicken soup base
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 4 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 cup cubed cooked ham
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup warm water
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon celery seed
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a slow cooker, combine 3 cups of warm water and chicken soup base. Whisk until the base is fully dissolved, then stir in the cream of chicken soup until the mixture is nearly smooth.
  • Incorporate the potatoes, ham, corn, yellow onion, and butter into the savory soup blend.
  • In a small container with a lid, combine flour and 1/2 cup water, then shake until smooth. Stir the flour mixture into the soup and add parsley, dill, and celery seed. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Slow cook chowder on High for 4 hours or Low for 8 hours, giving it a gentle stir occasionally.
