Slow cooked venison roast with homemade teriyaki gravy.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (2 pound) venison roast
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup unsweetened apple juice
  • 0.33333334326744 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
  • Cut the venison roast in half, massage it with brown sugar, and place it in a slow cooker. Pour in the apple juice, soy sauce, and salt. Cook on Low setting for 6 hours until the meat is tender. Take the meat out, cover it, and let it sit for 15 minutes before serving.
  • Strain drippings into a medium bowl, then pour juices back into the slow cooker. Combine water and cornstarch until smooth in a small bowl and stir into juices. Cook on High until thickened for about 15 minutes. Slice meat and serve with gravy.
