Slow cooked turkey breast with pantry herbs, an easy holiday showstopper.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 pound) boneless turkey breast
  • 2 (1 ounce) packages dry onion soup mix
  • 0.75 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1 tablespoon seasoned salt (such as Season-All®)
  • 1 tablespoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
Instructions:
  • Lay the turkey breast in a spacious slow cooker. Combine onion soup mix with water in a bowl, then pour over the turkey, ensuring the meat is fully coated.
  • Combine garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, seasoned salt, basil, and oregano in a bowl, then generously sprinkle the mixture over the turkey breast.
  • Slow cook the turkey until it becomes very tender and absorbs all the delicious flavors, which should take 8 to 9 hours. Verify its doneness by checking that the internal temperature of the thickest part of the breast reads at least 165 degrees F (75 degrees C) using an instant-read meat thermometer.
