Slow-cooked kielbasa with sauerkraut, apples, onion, and potatoes simmered in flavorful broth with caraway for a mouthwatering dinner after just four hours.
Ingredients:
  • 2 pounds kielbasa sausage, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1.5 pounds sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
  • 2 Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced into rings
  • 0.75 onion, sliced into rings
  • 2 pounds red potatoes, quartered
  • 1.5 cups chicken broth
  • 0.5 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 0.5 cup shredded Swiss cheese
Instructions:
  • Layer half of the sausage in the slow cooker, followed by sauerkraut, the rest of the sausage, apples, and onion. Add the potatoes on top and drizzle with chicken broth. Sprinkle caraway seeds over everything.
  • Cook on High for 4 hours until the potatoes are tender. Serve topped with Swiss cheese.
