Slow cooker curried black lentils - perfectly seasoned, easy vegetarian meal.
Ingredients:
  • 6 cups water
  • 1.5 cups split black lentils
  • 0.5 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder, or more to taste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 (1 inch) piece fresh ginger root, chopped
  • 0.5 cup heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • In a slow cooker, add water, lentils, onion, garlic, sugar, salt, curry powder, turmeric, and ginger root.
  • Cook on High for 5 hours, then stir cream into lentils until heated through.
