Slow cooker shredded chicken recipe

Effortlessly flavorful slow cooker chicken, versatile for tacos, burritos, sandwiches, wraps, pizza, potatoes, rice, pasta, or salads. A must-have for easy meal prep!
Ingredients:
  • 500g Coles RSPCA Approved Chicken Breast Fillets
  • 200g chicken thigh fillets, fat trimmed (see notes)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1.25 gm ground paprika
  • 1/4 tsp Mexican chilli powder
  • 250ml (1 cup) smoky barbecue sauce
  • 20.00 ml apple cider vinegar
Instructions:
  • Add the chicken to the slow cooker, then mix in the remaining ingredients until well combined.
  • Cook the chicken covered on Low for 6 hours, making sure to turn it halfway through the cooking time as indicated in the notes.
  • Place the chicken on a plate or cutting board. Shred the chicken using 2 forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and mix well with the liquid.
