Transform a venison roast into succulent shredded venison tacos seasoned with zesty taco flavors. An exquisite twist on classic beef tacos, beloved by my family. Top with your favorite fixings like lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and savory taco sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (1.25 ounce) package taco seasoning mix
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 pounds venison roast
  • 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cups water
Instructions:
  • Combine half of the taco seasoning with the flour and cayenne pepper to your liking, then use this seasoned mixture to coat the meat. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and brown the roast evenly on all sides in the hot oil.
  • Slow cook the meat in a flavorful broth for either 8 hours on low or 5 hours on high. Once tender, shred the meat with a fork and season to your liking.
