Slow-cook brisket in homemade BBQ sauce with Texas-style spices for a mouthwatering meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons smoked paprika
  • 2 tablespoons ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1.5 pounds beef brisket
  • 0.75 cup barbeque sauce
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.25 teaspoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 0.5 onion, sliced into rings
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • Create the brisket rub by combining paprika, pepper, salt, brown sugar, chili powder, and cumin in a bowl. Rub the mixture evenly over the brisket, then place the brisket in a large, resealable plastic bag. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Combine barbeque sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke in the slow cooker to prepare the sauce.
  • Take the brisket out of the refrigerator and bag. Place it in the slow cooker with the sauce and top it with onions.
  • Slow cook until the brisket is incredibly tender, for 6 to 7 hours.
  • Allow the brisket to rest for 10 minutes before slicing or shredding, then serve it with the flavorful sauce from the slow cooker.
