Slow-Cooker Herbed Beef Stroganoff

Delicious slow cooker beef and mushroom Stroganoff with Russian herbs. Easy prep, ultimate comfort food.
Ingredients:
  • 2 lb beef stew meat
  • 1 package (8 oz) sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 large onion, cut lengthwise in half, then cut crosswise into slices
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules
  • 1 bag (16 oz) wide egg noodles
  • 1 container (8 oz) sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 large tomato, chopped (1 cup)
Instructions:
  • Place the beef, mushrooms, onion, pepper, and bouillon granules in a 3 1/2- to 4-quart slow cooker.
  • Simmer on Low heat for 8 to 9 hours with a lid on.
  • Approximately 20 minutes prior to serving, follow package instructions to cook and drain the noodles. Then, delicately mix in the sour cream and thyme with the drained noodles.
  • Spread a dusting of flour over the beef mixture in the cooker and incorporate gently. Turn the heat setting to High, cover, and let it cook for 3 minutes. Serve the flavorful beef mixture over a bed of noodles and garnish with fresh tomato slices.
