Indulge in savory slow-cooked beef roast sandwiches for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (4 to 5-lb.) beef rump roast
  • 1 (1-oz.) pkg. dry onion soup mix
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 2 (10 1/2-oz.) cans condensed beef broth
  • 1 (12-oz.) can beer or nonalcoholic beer
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 16 onion buns, split
Instructions:
  • Place the beef roast in a 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker. Combine all remaining ingredients, except for the buns, in a medium bowl and mix well. Pour the mixture over the roast.
  • Slow cook covered for 8 to 10 hours on low setting.
  • Take out the beef from the slow cooker and transfer it to a cutting board or large plate. Slice the beef with a knife or shred it using 2 forks, then place it in buns. Optionally, remove any fat from the juices in the slow cooker. Serve the sandwiches with individual portions of the juices for dipping.
