Upgrade your cheesy dip with bacon and horseradish for a flavorful twist. Perfectly pairs with bread cubes or crackers for a decadent appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped (1/4 cup)
  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, cubed
  • 2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese (8 ounces)
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 8 slices peppered smoked bacon, crisply cooked and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons cream-style horseradish
  • 1/3 cup chopped fresh Italian parsley
  • French or herbed bread cubes, if desired
  • Water crackers, if desired
Instructions:
  • Combine garlic, onion, cream cheese, Gruyère cheese, and half-and-half in a 1 1/2-quart slow cooker.
  • Simmer covered on low for 2 1/2 to 3 hours until the mixture is thoroughly heated.
  • Combine the savory bacon, zesty horseradish, and fresh parsley into the mixture. Cover and cook over high heat for around 15 minutes until it's piping hot. Serve with bread cubes or crackers for a delightful dipping experience.
