Effortlessly create mouthwatering meat sauce by combining vegetables, beef, chili sauce, and seasonings in a slow-cooker for a convenient and delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 3 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onions
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 (12-oz.) bottle chili sauce

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 16 sandwich buns, split
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté ground beef, onions, celery, and bell pepper for 5 to 7 minutes until beef is cooked through. Stir frequently. Remove any excess fat by draining.
  • Combine the ground beef mixture and all remaining ingredients, excluding the buns, in a 3 1/2 to 4-quart slow cooker, and mix thoroughly.
  • Cover and simmer gently for 4 to 6 hours.
  • Spoon the savory beef filling into the soft buns and gently stir to combine.
