Slow-Cooker Turkey Drumsticks with Plum Sauce

Elevate family Asian night with plum sauce slow-cooked turkey drumsticks served over noodles.
Ingredients:
  • 4 turkey drumsticks (2 1/2 to 3 lb), skin removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2/3 cup Chinese plum sauce
  • 1/3 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cold water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • Hot cooked noodles, if desired
Instructions:
  • Season turkey drumsticks with salt and pepper. Transfer to a 5- to 6-quart slow cooker. Combine plum sauce, onions, and soy sauce in a small bowl, then pour over the turkey.
  • Slow cook, covered, on Low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
  • About 25 minutes before serving, elegantly transfer the succulent turkey from the slow cooker onto a beautiful serving platter. Gently cover it with foil to ensure it stays warm and tender. Skim off any excess fat from the flavorful liquid in the slow cooker.
  • Blend water and cornstarch in a small bowl until smooth, then stir into the liquid in the slow cooker. Increase heat to High, cover, and cook for 15 to 20 minutes until the sauce thickens. Remove turkey meat from bones and serve with sauce over noodles.
