Celebrate the holidays with a delicious and creative feast!
Ingredients:
  • 250g packet cream cheese, softened
  • 20.00 ml capers, chopped
  • 50g smoked salmon, chopped
  • 20.00 ml fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 20.00 ml fresh dill, chopped
  • 125.00 ml flaked almonds, toasted
  • Fresh dill, to serve
  • Lavosh crackers, to serve
Instructions:
  • With an electric mixer, blend the cream cheese until creamy. Mix in capers, salmon, chives, and dill. Season with pepper to taste.
  • Lay a 30cm-long piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface. Spread cheese mixture onto the plastic. Roll the mixture into a log. Place another 30cm-long piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface, sprinkle with almonds, and unwrap the log on top. Roll the log in almonds, wrap in plastic to coat, press gently to secure, then twist the ends to seal. Chill for 2 to 3 hours until firm.
  • Remove the wrapping from the log of cheese, then generously sprinkle with fragrant dill before presenting alongside some crispy crackers.
