Succulent smoked salmon cooked in a savory sauce with onions, mushrooms, garlic, tomato paste, basil, and flavorful pesto. Top hot noodles for a delicious salmon pesto pasta dish.
Ingredients:
  • 5 ounces smoked salmon, cut into small pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove crushed garlic
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 0.75 cup prepared basil pesto sauce
  • 3 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 8 ounces spaghetti
Instructions:
  • Boil pasta in a generously sized pot of hot water until perfectly cooked, approximately 8 to 10 minutes. Then, drain and keep aside.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms in olive oil until onion is translucent and mushrooms are tender. Add smoked salmon, pesto sauce, tomato paste, fresh basil, and water. Simmer gently until it reaches your preferred thickness, about 5 to 10 minutes.
