Elegant smoked salmon canapes on crackers with spiced cream cheese, cucumber, and dill for a stunning appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces thinly sliced smoked salmon
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 0.25 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onion
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice, divided
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 24 thin slices cucumber
  • 24 crackers (such as Wheatsworth®)
  • 24 sprigs fresh dill
Instructions:
  • Slice the smoked salmon into 24 pieces measuring 3/4x2 inches each.
  • Combine cream cheese, celery, walnuts, and green onion in a bowl. Stir in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice, coriander, and cayenne until well mixed.
  • Lay the salmon slices flat, spread the mixture on top, and season with black pepper. Roll them up neatly. Top each cracker with a cucumber slice, add a sprig of dill, and place a salmon roll on top. Finish by drizzling with the remaining lemon juice.
