Delicious pasta bake with crispy breadcrumb topping, perfect for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 300g dried pasta shapes
  • 300ml pure (thin) cream
  • 2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 2 x 170g skinless hot-smoked ocean trout portions (see note), flaked into large pieces
  • 40.00 ml salted capers, rinsed, drained
  • 35g breadcrumbs
  • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 62.50 ml finely chopped flat-leaf parsley leaves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 190°C. Boil the pasta in salted water following packet instructions. Drain and transfer to a 1.5-litre (6-cup) baking dish.
  • Once the pasta is cooking, gently simmer cream, garlic, and trout in a pan over medium heat for 2 minutes. Add capers and season with pepper. Combine with the pasta and toss delicately. Top with breadcrumbs, lemon zest, and parsley. Bake for 8 minutes until the breadcrumbs are golden brown.
