Indulge in the perfect blend of smoky and sweet flavors with this oven-roasted turkey breast. Ideal for Thanksgiving or any family gathering.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 bone-in whole turkey breast (5 to 6 lb), thawed if frozen
  • 1/3 cup real maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Combine butter, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Gently separate the skin from the turkey breast and massage the seasoned butter mixture underneath.
  • Place the turkey breast, skin side up, on a rack in a roasting pan and insert an ovenproof meat thermometer into the thickest part of the breast without touching the bone. Roast uncovered for 30 minutes.
  • Combine the syrup, orange juice, and mustard in a small bowl, then brush one-third of the mixture over the turkey.
  • Roast for an additional 50 minutes to 1 hour, brushing twice with the remaining syrup mixture, until a thermometer reads at least 165°F. Cover with foil and let it rest for 15 minutes before carving for best results.
