Elf on the Shelf Inspired Giant Edible Elf: A mischievously delicious holiday trend.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • Butter and egg called for on cookie mix pouch
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Red food color
  • 2 tablespoons from 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Chocolate Frosting
  • 2 blue mini confetti sprinkles
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and generously spray a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray. Follow the instructions on the cookie dough pouch to prepare the dough, then press it into the bottom of the pan.
  • Bake until golden brown, then allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Divide 3 tablespoons of white frosting into 2 small bowls. Keep one bowl white for mittens, collar, and hat trim. Add a tiny amount of red food color to the other bowl to create pink for the face. Mix red food color into the rest of the white frosting until bright red, for the hat, body, arms, legs, and mouth. Use chocolate frosting for the hair and blue sprinkles for the eyes.
  • With a sharp paring knife, carefully cut the cookie into elf shapes. Transfer the cookies onto a serving platter. Proceed to frost and decorate the elves as desired, using the photo as a reference for inspiration.
