Get festive this holiday season with fun shaped Christmas cookies that are perfect for family baking or party favors.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons lemon extract
  • Colored sprinkles
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • Milk
  • Reynolds® Parchment Paper
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a cookie sheet lined with Reynolds® Parchment Paper.
  • Use an electric mixer to whip butter and sugar until fluffy. Add egg and lemon extract, mix until fully combined.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually blend the flour mixture into the butter mixture until smooth. Divide the dough in half and shape it into 2 flat disks. Wrap the dough in parchment paper and refrigerate for 1 hour until firm enough to roll out.
  • Flatten the dough to a 1/8-inch thickness between two sheets of lightly floured parchment paper.
  • Cut out dough using festive snowflake cookie cutters ranging from 2 to 6 inches in size. Arrange cookies 1 inch apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with colorful decorations to adorn.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until cookies are lightly golden around the edges. Allow to cool.
  • Combine powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl, gradually adding milk until you reach your preferred consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cookies.
