Homemade twist on Sock it to Me Cake: moist yellow cake with a flavorful cinnamon, brown sugar, and pecan swirl, baked to perfection in a tube pan.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while you prepare a 10-inch tube pan by greasing and flouring it. Then, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whip together butter and white sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in sour cream and vanilla. Blend in flour mixture until smooth. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
  • Layer half of the delicious batter into the waiting tube pan. Generously sprinkle with a blend of aromatic cinnamon, rich brown sugar, and crunchy nuts. Finish with the remaining luscious batter for a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
  • Place in the heated oven for 90 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean when inserted in the center. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
