Easy and delicious kid-friendly snack using common ingredients from your kitchen.
Ingredients:
  • Olive oil, to grease
  • 115g (3/4 cup) self-raising flour
  • 1.20 gm chicken salt
  • 10g butter
  • 25g (1/4 cup) coarsely grated tasty cheese
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) milk, approximately
  • 4.60 gm olive oil
  • 1/2 small brown onion, coarsely grated
  • 125g (1/2 cup) sour cream
  • 40g (1/2 cup) coarsely grated tasty cheese, extra
  • 1 x 50g pkt plain potato chips, crushed
Instructions:
  • - Preheat your oven to 190°C. - Grease a shallow, square 19cm cake pan with oil. - In a bowl, mix flour and chicken salt. - Rub in the butter with your fingertips until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. - Add cheese and milk, then use a round-bladed knife to mix the ingredients together. - Press the dough evenly over the base of the pan.
  • In a frying pan over medium heat, sauté onion and garlic in oil until onion is soft and liquid evaporates, about 2 minutes. Remove from heat, mix in sour cream, then spread over the dough. Top with cheese and chips.
  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and cooked through. Allow it to cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cut into 16 squares.
