Family-favorite one-skillet chicken with paprika-infused sour cream sauce. Cooked with onion for a flavorful and colorful dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sizzle the chicken in hot oil until fully cooked and releasing clear juices, approximately 10 minutes. Verify doneness by inserting an instant-read thermometer into the center, ensuring it reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). Set the cooked chicken aside.
  • Saute the onion in butter until glossy but not browned for 5 to 8 minutes, then season with paprika and salt.
  • Add flavorful chicken stock to the pan and bring it to a vigorous boil.
  • Lower the heat to simmer, then blend sour cream with flour until smooth before incorporating it into the chicken stock with a whisk.
  • Simmer chicken in skillet until heated through and sauce thickens.
