Irresistible coffee cake with cinnamon-nut filling.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give your 8x12 inch pan a gentle coating of grease.
  • Cream together 1 cup of white sugar and 1 cup of butter in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in the eggs. Stir in the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sour cream until just combined.
  • Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan, then sprinkle with 3/4 of the filling. Add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining filling. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 40 minutes.
  • Mix together chopped nuts, ground cinnamon, and 3/4 cup white sugar until well combined.
