Indulgent sour cream coffee cake with buttery cinnamon swirls. Perfect for any time with your favorite hot drink.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 cup packed brown sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  • Cream together white sugar and 1 cup of butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy. Gradually add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in sour cream and vanilla. Mix in 2 cups of flour, baking powder, and salt. Spread half of the batter in the prepared pan.
  • For the filling: Combine brown sugar, 1/3 cup flour, melted butter, and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Sprinkle half of the mixture over the cake batter in the pan. Layer the remaining cake batter on top and finish by sprinkling the rest of the filling over it.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick comes out clean, around 40 minutes.
