Ingredients:
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 large head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) package sliced fresh mushrooms
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet, sizzle the bacon over medium-high heat, flipping occasionally, until beautifully crisp, around 10 minutes. Let the bacon rest on paper towels to absorb excess grease, then crumble once cooled. Keep a luxurious 3 tablespoons of bacon drippings in the skillet.
  • In a sizzling skillet, cook cabbage, onion, and mushrooms in the flavorful bacon drippings until tender and slightly golden, approximately 20 minutes. Gently mix in the crispy bacon before seasoning generously with salt and black pepper.
