Stovetop to slow cooker BBQ dish, perfect for parties. Serve plain or on a bun.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 pounds boneless pork roast
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
Instructions:
  • Cut the pork roast into large chunks, generously season with Cajun seasoning. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat and brown the pork on all sides. Transfer the pork to a slow cooker.
  • Sauté the onion and garlic in the skillet until tender. Deglaze the pan with water to incorporate the browned pork bits, then transfer everything to the slow cooker with the pork. Mix in the liquid smoke flavoring.
  • Cook on High for 6 hours until the pork easily shreds with a fork. Remove, shred, and return to keep warm before serving.
