Succulent honey-soy glazed pork chops served with grilled sweet onions. Quick and easy sauce, no marinating needed!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup honey
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 4 center-cut boneless pork chops - 1/2-inch thick
  • 2 teaspoons canola oil, or as needed
  • salt to taste
  • 1 large sweet onion, sliced
Instructions:
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by preheating it on high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Combine honey, soy sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the honey-soy mixture in a separate bowl. Brush both sides of the chops with canola oil, then season with salt and black pepper.
  • Start by grilling the chops on the hottest part of the grill until they develop a light char and crispy crust, about 4 to 5 minutes on each side. Next, transfer the chops to a cooler section of the grill and brush both sides generously with the honey-soy glaze. Continue grilling until the chops are cooked through and no longer pink inside, approximately 3 to 4 more minutes. To ensure they're done, look for clear juices and an internal temperature of at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C) when using an instant-read meat thermometer in the center of a chop.
  • While the chops are grilling, brush onion slices with oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill the onions until translucent and browned, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. To serve, place chops and onions on warmed plates and brush chops with the remaining honey-soy glaze.
