Create a perfect balance of meat and veggies in this Asian-inspired dish, best served with steamed rice for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 garlic clove, finely grated
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 60ml soy sauce
  • 2 x 180g scotch fillet steaks, trimmed
  • 150g snow peas, trimmed
  • 250g frozen podded edamame (see note), skins removed
  • 22.00 gm sweet chilli sauce
  • 12.00 gm sesame seeds, toasted
Instructions:
  • Combine minced garlic, rich sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of savory soy sauce in a bowl, then generously coat the steaks with the marinade. Preheat a non-stick frypan over medium heat, place the steaks in the pan and cook for 4 minutes (adjust heat if needed to prevent burning of the marinade). Flip the steaks and continue cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes for medium-rare perfection or longer based on your desired doneness level. Enjoy your delicious meal!
  • Boil snow peas and edamame in salty water for 1-2 minutes until tender. Drain and cool in cold water. Combine chili sauce with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce to create a flavorful dressing.
  • Slice the steak generously and accompany it with crisp snow peas and edamame. Drizzle with sweet chili dressing and sprinkle sesame seeds on top before serving.
