Asian-inspired beef burgers with noodle buns and savory soy-sesame patties.
Ingredients:
  • 3 x 85g pkts instant noodles
  • 2 Free Range Eggs, lightly whisked
  • 400g 4 Star Beef Mince
  • 31.50 gm salt-reduced soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 spring onions, thinly sliced
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 40g baby spinach leaves
  • 1 carrot, peeled, cut into matchsticks
  • 80ml barbecue sauce
Instructions:
  • Remove the seasoning from the noodle packets. Cook the noodles according to the packet's instructions, then drain them well. Transfer the noodles to a large bowl and let them cool for 10 minutes. Add the egg and mix well to coat the noodles evenly.
  • Divide the noodle mixture into 8 equal portions and place each one in a 10cm round ramekin or small bowl. Cover with greased plastic wrap and gently press with cans or ramekins to flatten. Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  • Combine mince, soy sauce, and sesame oil, shaping into 4 round 10cm patties. Place spring onion in iced water to curl.
  • 1. Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over high heat. 2. Unmold the noodle buns from ramekins or bowls, then pan-fry in batches for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and heated through. 3. Transfer to a plate and loosely cover with foil to keep warm.
  • Heat the same pan over medium-high heat, then sear the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side or until they are cooked through.
  • Divide the noodle buns evenly on serving plates. Layer with spinach, carrot, patties, and barbecue sauce. Drain the spring onion curls, place on top of the patties, and sandwich with the remaining noodle buns.
