Delicious Japanese spaghetti Napolitan with a savory ketchup sauce and flavorful cocktail sausages.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8 ounce) package button mushrooms, thinly sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 10 cocktail wieners (such as Hillshire Farm® Lit'l Smokies), sliced
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 0.25 cup tonkatsu sauce
  • 3 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
Instructions:
  • In a large 8-quart pot, bring water to a boil. Add spaghetti and salt, cook until al dente, about 12 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
  • In a large frying pan over medium-high heat, melt butter. Saute onion until soft, about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and bell pepper; continue cooking until lightly browned. Add sausages and cook until heated through for 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in ketchup, tonkatsu sauce, and cream; mix well. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until sauce slightly thickens, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Drizzle the sauce over the spaghetti in the large pot, using tongs to mix thoroughly. Portion into individual serving bowls and enjoy right away.
