Whip up flavorful meatballs using beef, eggs, bread, Romano cheese, and parsley. Simmer in a hearty tomato sauce with Italian sausage, beef, and links. Serve over pasta for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 (3.5 ounce) links sweet Italian sausage
  • 0.5 pound cubed flank steak
  • 8 links pork sausage
  • 3 onion, chopped
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans crushed tomatoes
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 slices white bread, cut into cubes
  • 0.5 cup grated Romano cheese
  • 1 pinch dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 (16 ounce) packages macaroni
Instructions:
  • Heat olive oil in a large stock pot over medium heat. Add Italian sausage, beef chunks, sausage links, onion, and garlic. Cook until meat is fully done. Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, bay leaves, and cinnamon. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer over low heat for 1 hour.
  • Combine ground chuck beef, eggs, bread, Romano cheese, salt, pepper, and a pinch of parsley flakes in a large bowl. Shape into golf ball-sized meatballs.
  • In a large skillet, drizzle vegetable oil and cook meatballs over medium heat until they are lightly browned. Transfer the meatballs to spaghetti sauce and let them simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
  • Boil pasta in salted water until firm to the bite. Drain thoroughly and toss in a large bowl with 1 cup of sauce to prevent sticking.
  • Serve the savory sauce alongside the delicious meatballs, on a bed of perfectly cooked pasta.
