Prepare a large batch of hibiscus syrup for quick and refreshing cocktails at your upcoming party!
Ingredients:
  • 10 cups water
  • 1 cup dried hibiscus petals
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 whole clove
  • 1 whole allspice berry
  • 0.125 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1.5 cups raw sugar
  • ice cubes
  • 2.5 (32 ounce) bottles sparkling water
  • 2 limes, cut into wedges
Instructions:
  • In a medium pot, bring together water, hibiscus petals, cinnamon, clove, allspice, and nutmeg. Boil over high heat, then simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours.
  • Take the mixture off the heat and blend in the sugar until it dissolves, which should take around 1 minute. Let the syrup cool to room temperature for approximately 1 hour before refrigerating until needed.
  • Prepare a delightful batch of hibiscus coolers by generously filling each of 10 glasses with ice. Next, gracefully drizzle 3 fluid ounces of hibiscus syrup into each glass, followed by topping it off with 8 fluid ounces of sparkling water. Finally, add a fresh burst of flavor by squeezing a lime wedge into each glass.
