Total Time:
Creamy sour cream and raisin pie with sweetened cream cheese layers and whipped topping. Chill to perfection, and add dried cranberries for a delightful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 4 cups frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell, baked
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, mix together the raisins, white sugar, spices, sour cream, eggs, and butter or margarine. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Stir constantly until thickened. Allow to cool.
  • Combine the cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth, then gently mix in 2 cups of whipped topping.
  • Layer the creamy mixture on the bottom of the baked and cooled pie shell, followed by the cooled raisin mixture. Finish with the remaining creamy mixture and a generous topping of whipped cream. Chill in the refrigerator before serving.
