Kid-friendly chili pot pie topped with cornbread - simply pour, mix, and bake for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8.5 ounce) package cornbread mix (such as Jiffy®)
  • 0.33333334326744 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans turkey chili with beans, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese, or as desired
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) to ensure the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine cornbread mix, milk, and egg in a bowl, whisking until slightly lumpy.
  • Transfer the turkey chili with beans into a 9-inch pie dish and generously dollop the cornbread batter over the top.
  • Bake in the hot oven until the edges of the cornbread start to brown and the center is firm, for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Sprinkle each serving with flavorful Cheddar cheese and a dollop of tangy sour cream.
