Nutty spelt flatbread enhances pizza with a crunchy twist. Perfect wheat flour substitute.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup spelt flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.125 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1.25 cups water
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Combine flour, salt, onion powder, and sugar in a bowl. Slowly pour in water while whisking until a smooth batter forms. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it sit to develop flavors.
  • Heat olive oil in a 12-inch cast iron skillet in the oven for about 5 minutes until hot. Pour batter into the hot skillet.
  • Place the flatbread in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, then flip and continue cooking until golden brown, approximately 10 more minutes.
