Spiced chickpea dip with garlic bread

Vibrant vegan dish.
Ingredients:
  • 400g can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 5.00 gm ground cumin
  • 1 small red chilli, seeded and thinly sliced
  • 42.00 gm lemon juice
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 56.88 gm extra light olive oil
  • 1 loaf Turkish bread
  • Extra 36.40 gm extra light olive oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C. In a food processor bowl, combine chickpeas, cumin, chili, lemon juice, and half of the garlic. Process for 20 seconds. Then, add oil and process until well combined.
  • Slice the bread into 2cm thick pieces. Mix additional oil with the leftover garlic in a small bowl. Brush both sides of the bread slices with the delicious olive oil mixture.
  • Place the ingredients on a baking tray and bake until crisp, approximately 10 minutes. Enjoy with your favorite dip.
