Quick and easy glazed cookies - a warm coffee shop treat straight from your oven.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 package (12 oz) semisweet chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, cream together butter, brown sugar, vanilla, and egg using an electric mixer or mix with a spoon. Gradually add all the remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and walnuts, mixing on low speed. Fold in chocolate chips and walnuts.
  • Spoon rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto a non-greased cookie sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
  • Bake 7 to 9 minutes until lightly browned but centers remain soft. Let cool for 1 to 2 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack.
