Elevate your winter cocktail menu with decadent spiced gingerbread hot chocolate.
Ingredients:
  • 1l milk
  • 75g milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 50g dark chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 0.63 gm ground ginger
  • Pinch of mixed spice
  • 1 cinnamon stick or quill
  • 2 whole star anise
  • 125ml liqueur
  • Whipped cream, to serve
  • Cocoa powder, to dust
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, gently melt together milk, chocolate, ginger, mixed spice, cinnamon, and star anise. Whisk occasionally for 5 minutes until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth. Stir in the liqueur, if desired.
  • Divide the mixture into serving glasses, then generously top each with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cocoa powder for a finishing touch.
