Spiced Nuts Chex Party Mix

Spiced holiday nuts with Chex cereal - perfect quick gift!
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups Honey Nut Chex™ cereal
  • 3 cups Cinnamon Chex™ cereal
  • 1 cup whole almonds
  • 1 cup hazelnuts or pecans
  • 1 pasteurized egg white*
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground pumpkin pie spice or apple pie spice
Instructions:
  • Combine the cereals and almonds in a large bowl, then line a cookie sheet with waxed paper or foil.
  • Beat the egg white in a 2-cup measure, then pour it over the cereal. In a small bowl, mix together the sugar, salt, and spices, and sprinkle over the cereal.
  • Microwave the mixture on High for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring every minute until the cereal and nuts are browned and have a crisp sound when stirred. Spread out the mixture on waxed paper to cool, then store in an airtight container.
