Tangy vinegar pie with warm cinnamon and clove spice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie crust
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, cloves, allspice, and salt in a large saucepan. Mix thoroughly, then whisk in egg, vinegar, and water. Cook over low heat with butter until thickened, stirring constantly. Fill pastry shell with mixture.
  • Preheat oven. Bake pastry for 3 minutes. Fill and bake for 20-25 minutes until crust is golden brown.
