Spicy barbecue marinade

Ingredients:
  • 131.25 gm soy sauce
  • 62.50 ml rice wine vinegar (see note)
  • 18.20 gm peanut oil
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • 1 tsp crushed red chilli (or sambal oelek)
  • 2 large garlic cloves
Instructions:
  • In a jug, blend soy sauce, vinegar, oil, honey, and chili together.
  • Place a garlic clove under the back of a wooden spoon and gently press down to squash. Peel the garlic clove. Repeat with the rest of the garlic cloves.
  • Crush garlic into a jug using a garlic crusher, then stir with a metal spoon to combine.
  • Insert a funnel into a clean, sterilized bottle. Pour in the marinade, then seal with the lid. Don't forget to label and add decorative touches to the bottle.
