Spicy chicken curry with garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, and red chili powder for a flavorful kick.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves, cut into bite size pieces
  • 4 green chile peppers, chopped
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 pinch ground turmeric
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Prepare the chicken by rinsing and drying the pieces. Then, grind the poppy seeds into a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet and saute onions and green chiles until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and cook further. Mix in poppy seed paste and reserved chicken pieces, stirring well. Once the chicken is coated, sprinkle in red chili powder and pour in 2 cups of water. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  • Once the chicken is fully cooked (oil should be floating on top of the skillet liquid), add the garam masala and turmeric powder. Turn off the stove, stir well, and serve.
