Indulge in succulent yogurt-marinated shrimp coated in Original Bisquick® mix for a timeless seafood meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons red curry powder
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lb uncooked deveined peeled jumbo shrimp
  • 1 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/3 cup sesame seed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
  • Canola oil for frying
  • Cocktail sauce, if desired
Instructions:
  • In a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish, combine all marinade ingredients. Then add shrimp and coat them evenly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours or overnight, turning occasionally.
  • Cover a cookie sheet with foil. Take the shrimp out of the marinade and dispose of the marinade. Arrange the shrimp on a rack on the prepared cookie sheet and allow to sit for 10 minutes.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, sesame seed, garam masala, and pepper in a large bowl. Coat shrimp in the mixture, shaking off excess. Let shrimp sit on a rack for 15 minutes. Heat 1 inch of oil in a large heavy skillet to 350°F. Fry shrimp in batches for 3 minutes until golden. Drain on paper towels and serve with cocktail sauce.
