Spicy meatballs paired with farfalle pasta, a delicious and versatile dish that's great for enjoying as leftovers!
Ingredients:
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 red chilli, seeded, finely chopped
  • 62.50 ml dry breadcrumbs
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • Mutti Polpa Finely Chopped Tomatoes 400g
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 125.00 gm water
  • pinch sugar
  • 400g farfalle pasta (bow-tie shaped)
Instructions:
  • Combine beef mince, chili, and breadcrumbs in a bowl. Season with salt and mix with your hands until fully incorporated. Shape into 12 equal-sized meatballs.
  • In a non-stick frypan over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook the meatballs, turning frequently, until evenly browned for approximately 5 minutes. Remove and set aside. Clean the pan.
  • Drizzle the rest of the oil into the frypan. Sauté onion and garlic until onion is soft, for about 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in tomatoes, oregano, and water.
  • Bring the sauce to a vigorous boil, then gently nestle the meatballs in. Let them simmer, partially covered, for 10 minutes, ensuring to turn them occasionally until fully cooked. Finally, taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, and a hint of sugar to enhance the flavor.
  • Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water until al dente (just tender), then drain and serve with meatballs.
