Spicy nectarine barbecue sauce

Elevate your meat with zesty nectarine BBQ sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 5.00 gm smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 3 nectarines, stones removed, chopped
  • 250ml (1 cup) passata
  • 125ml (1/2 cup) water
  • 45g (1/4 cup) lightly packed brown sugar
  • 11.80 gm Dijon mustard
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, sauté onion in oil until soft, about 7 minutes. Add garlic and chili, cook until aromatic, about 1 minute. Stir in paprika and cumin.
  • Combine the nectarine, passata, water, sugar, and mustard in a saucepan. Cook for 40 minutes until thick, stirring occasionally. Let it cool slightly, then blend until smooth with a stick blender. Transfer to jars and refrigerate for up to a week.
