"Grill up delicious sausage and sweet potato burgers in minutes."
Ingredients:
  • 500g orange sweet potato, peeled, thinly sliced
  • 500g spicy thick beef sausages
  • 1 loaf Turkish bread, cut into 4 pieces, halved crossways
  • 125g tub hommus
  • 60g rocket leaves
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix sweet potato with 1 tablespoon of oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Preheat a barbecue plate or chargrill over medium-high heat. Cook sausages in batches, turning occasionally, for 10 to 15 minutes until cooked through. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm. Cook sweet potato slices for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until tender. Transfer to a plate and cover to keep warm.
  • Brush the bread with the remaining oil, then cook each side for about 1 minute until nicely toasted.
  • Slice the sausages. Spread hommus on bread bases, then layer with sweet potato, sausage slices, rocket, and top with the remaining bread slices. Serve and enjoy.
