Spicy Szechuan green beans with red pepper flakes and fresh ginger for a flavorful Chinese twist.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound green beans, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook green beans with water until tender-crisp, stirring occasionally, for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in ginger, garlic, and sesame oil; cook until garlic is fragrant and golden brown, stirring frequently for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl. Drizzle over beans and simmer until sauce thickens to coat beans, about 3 to 5 minutes.
